1. Who We Are

Applylytics ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered resume optimization platform operated by VyByN App. Our platform is accessible at applylytics.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website, web application, and Chrome browser extension.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely through Stripe — we never store card numbers).

Resume and Job Data

To provide our service, we process resume text and job descriptions you submit. This content is stored in your account so you can access it across sessions. We send this content to Anthropic's Claude API to generate analysis results.

Chrome Extension

The Applylytics Chrome Extension reads job posting content (title, company name, job description) from job board pages you actively visit and choose to import. This data is:

• Temporarily stored in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local)
• Transferred to Applylytics only when you explicitly click "Analyze with Applylytics"
• Never collected passively or without your action
• Never sent to any third party other than Applylytics itself

The extension does not collect browsing history, personal credentials, cookies, or any data from pages other than the active job posting you are viewing.

Usage Data

We collect standard usage logs (pages visited, features used, error events) to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Applylytics service
• To generate AI-powered resume analysis using Anthropic Claude
• To process payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
• To improve our product based on aggregated usage patterns
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your resume content to train AI models. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate the service:

• Anthropic — Your resume and job description text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy
• Supabase — Your account data and documents are stored in Supabase's managed PostgreSQL database and object storage, hosted on AWS us-east-2
• Stripe — Payment processing. We never see or store your full card number
• Vercel — Our application is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure
• JSearch (RapidAPI) — Job search queries (keywords only, no personal data) are sent to the JSearch API

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@applylytics.com, after which we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Generated documents stored in Supabase Storage are accessible via time-limited signed URLs (7-day expiry).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption in transit, row-level security policies on our database, and Stripe for PCI-compliant payment processing. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated users only.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing

8. Children's Privacy

Applylytics is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of Applylytics after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
